REVILLAGIGEDO

Revillagigedo sits far offshore, where volcanic peaks rise from abyssal depths and oceanic currents concentrate some of the highest biomass of large marine life on the planet. Dives here take place in open water, along exposed pinnacles where pelagic species move with purpose and power.

conservation at heart

Revillagigedo is one of the greatest conservation successes in the Pacific. In
2017, the Mexican government designated the archipelago and its surrounding waters as a fully protected marine reserve, creating one of the largest no-take marine protected areas in North America. Fishing, mining, and industrial extraction are prohibited here, allowing shark populations, manta rays, tuna, and whales to recover and move freely through their natural migration corridors.
